Villa Beatrice
One of the most breathtaking villas on Rhodes, retaining all original features (very little restoration, a beautiful garden and the view is just.incredible! This house is an extremely fine example of traditional Lindian architecture, with heavy stone walls, shady courtyards and a particularly fine main salla. Thought to date back to the late sixteenth century, the house is completely original, with its courtyards and roof terraces linked by an arrangement of tunnels, stairways and bridges. It is furnished with beautiful antiques throughout.
The house also has one of the few large private gardens in the village (and probably the best); with olive and citrus trees and other mature shrubs covering five large terraces up the slope of the acropolis.
The koklaki flooring in this courtyard is of exceptional quality, with signs of the zodiac portrayed in three colours.
The walls that surround the courtyard, especially that of the main salla, are covered with some of the finest stone-relief depictions of some of the traditional symbols of Lindian history
Choose to hold your ceremony or reception (or both) on one of the villa's terraces; the villa also sleeps 12 comfortably!
